How to connect Jira issues to key results?
There are two ways to link your issues to the KRs.
Connect issue from Jira issue view
Open an issue you’d like to connect.
Click the OKRs on the right panel.
Select the objective to which your KR belongs to.
Select the KR from the list of this objective’s KRs.
Confirm by clicking “Connect”. Your issue is now connected and will appear on the kanban board on the key result’s page.
Connect issue from the KR page
Open the key result page to which you want to connect an issue.
Scroll to the “Connected issues” section.
Click the “Connect existing issues” button.
Select issues from a list or type in a JQL query to search for the issues you want to link. If you don’t know how to for a JQL query, click here.
All selected issues will be connected to the key result after you click the “Connect issues” button. Number appearing on the button is the number of selected issues.
You should now see the issues on the kanban board.
You can also create new issues while being on the KR page. Issues you’ll create this way will be connected to the KR from the beginning.
Create new issues connected to the KR
Open the key result page.
Scroll to the Initiatives section.
Click the “Create issue” button. You will see a standard Jira window for creating issues.
Fill in the relevant fields and click on the “Create” button.
You’ve created a connected issue. It should be visible both in Jira and on your kanban board in a few seconds.
