New keywords don't work after installation


New JQL extensions don’t work correctly shortly after the JQL Search Extensions is installed in Jira


After you install JQL Search Extensions, our indexing service needs to go through all the Jira issues. This process shouldn’t take long but if there are many issues in your Jira it may take a few hours. The initial indexing is required only once and any new issue changes are reflected in JQL within a few seconds.

To check the indexing progress:

  1. Go to Apps JQL Search Extensions

  2. Choose Getting started from the left hand menu

  3. You should see a progress bar that indicates how many issues still need to be indexed

Check the status of indexing. If the app status on the Getting started page says that the app is ready to use – the indexing is finished. Feel free to start using all the JQL aliases and functions!
