Converting KR types (auto<->manual)

Converting automatic KRs into manual KRs

  1. Click on the three-dots menu next to an Update button and choose the option “Convert to manual KR”.

  2. You will be informed about what will happen after you change the KR type. Click “Convert”.

  3. Your KR is now manual, which means:
    - connected issues will remain connected, but won’t have an impact on the progress
    - there won’t be any automatic progress update
    - your start/desired value won’t change unless you change it manually

Converting manual KRs into automatic KRs

  1. Click on the three-dots menu next to an Update button and choose the option “Convert to auto KR”.

  2. You will be informed about what will happen after you change the KR type. Click “Convert”.

  3. Your KR is now automatic, which means:
    - the progress is calculated based on connected issues, so is the start and desired value
    - progress will be updated automatically after any status change of connected issues (they're synced every 5 minutes, you can sync them by clicking on "Trigger refresh" in the connected issues menu)
    - if you have any issues connected, they’re now a part of the JQL that is used to sync matching issues. If you wish to change the query so that it would cover more issues, you can do it by clicking “Change JQL” in the Connected issues three-dots menu

    - if you didn’t have any issues connected, then you need to connect issues to see any progress. You can do it by clicking “Change JQL” in the Connected issues three-dots menu
