Saved views

Saved views are a feature that allows you to save a certain set of OKR overview setup and revisit it without applying all changes (i.e. filters, column widths). This way you can create views for each team or company level, see OKRs that need attention or those that were not updated this week. There are plenty of possibilities with custom views that you can use to boost your productivity and have a better experience in OKR for Jira.

How do saved views work?

Every time you make any change to the OKR table, you can save it as a new view. This view will be then available in a dropdown at the top of the screen.

Whenever you make a change, when having a view applied, you can either save the view- which will save the changes to the view, save as new - which will add a new view with applied setup and leave the old view as is, or don’t save anything at all- that way the changes you made are temporary and next time you open the view, it will look like exactly like before any changes.

Editing views

You can edit the names of the filter by going to Settings → Custom filters. There you can see a list of all custom views saved on your instance. You can edit and delete them from here.

If you’d like to change how the view looks, then you need to select it on the Overview screen, make the changes you like, and then click the Save button located next to the dropdown with custom filters.

Saved views' visibility

All views are currently visible and editable to all people on your Jira instance. However, we plan to introduce relevant permissions that would restrict the custom views to selected users later this quarter.
